Hi! My name is Michelle & I am 29yrs old. In October 2005 I started taking Ginette for my pimples.
Last year 15 November 2008, I stopped taking them as I wanted to fall pregnant. It has been three months & I am still not pregnant.
Are there any side effects of Ginette once you stop taking them?
How long do I have to wait to be concerned about not falling pregnant when we are ahving sexual intercourse during my ovuluation time?
Today, 02 March 2009 I got my menstrual & feel down from not falling pregnant. Is this normal or is it too early to be concerned or to be feeling this way?

It is still too early for you to be discouraged. Sometimes, it can take up to a year for the effects of birth control to wean themselves out of your body. Depending on how long your body's hormones have depended on this medicine, you could have a while before your body gets back on its own cycle again. I know that with me, I had a hard time getting back to a normal cycle after coming off my birth control that I'd been on for eight years.
Try not to stress about not getting pregnant. Stress has been scientifically shown to prevent fertilization. Just relax and let things happen naturally and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
